Yo guys I would like you to tell me some ideas for a map and what not.
I know how to mod so if u want a specific mod in the map then list that here.

i think maybe a 2 vs 2 map where there are no outposts/oil/etc...and the starting points are very close together....

no you want some well placed outposts (oil and airfield) and not to close or that would be pointless and very boring

For Spygon maybe (no offence)but then i personally think that without outposts/oil/etc it would be more original and would feel less than a mod. and also i think you should put lots of gems and ore on the map(not in organized rows/columns but in random blotches all over the map...)...some might want a mod like if you destroy something you win but they dont tell you in the biginning... like this pentagon map that if you destroy a part of the pentagon(on the side of your enemy) then a nuke falls there and destrys everything in the radius of the nuke. (i personnaly dislike this though, some others might like it)

no offence taken mate the whole point of forums are to share different points of view.Yeah the gems and ore ideas good and Eek didnt know about the nuke pentagon but yes that would be stupid.But i would like an airbase maybe for both sides that would be cool and urban map ive always liked so maybe im biased lol Wink

I would like nutral buildings that u could capture and build by..and that the building doesnt serve any purpose exept for building there...

A good map for me is one that has a bit of everything. Most important is balance, not just as regards to resources but also which sides can be used. Many mod maps I've played are made for france or korea camping which is no fun at all.
Build speed should be normal and resources not endless otherwise it turns into a who can click the tank tab the fastest competition.

I've made a few maps, one at least worthy of public usage, anybody know a good place I can post it?

EDIT: Maybe I could be allowed to post it on cncseries???????????Happy

yeah post on it on here there a whole part for it but i dont know how you would do it and yeah balance is the main thing you should keep in mind then second keep it intresting so you can play it over and over again

For maps I like the idea of scattered ore, gem patches and tech buildings which make for interesting stretches. That really expands the battlefield, making players defend different points on the battlefield, and allow for lots of splits. Also interesting would be having critical tech buildings in the middle of small urban areas, and starting each player with an airport to see who will garrison those buildings with paradrops.

I like that idea but still...I would like the idea of starting with airports but....i would rather play a map without any tech buildings... maybe we could start with a battle lab beside the base to capture...it makes it a allied map though...and a question...how many apocalips are required to take out a huge group of mirage tanks(20-40)...

i totally agree with bigguy Grin as ive been saying lol u need a bit of everything but keep it balanced and intresting maybe have a few valleys in the middle you have to fight through

yeah maybe a small hostile "rebel" force to turn up ot annoy each of the players so u could try and use them to your avantage or they could be guarding something valuble

Maybe a group of hostile defence structures defending the only ore(except for a small patch in their base...)
