» Mission One - Operation Time Shift

Location: San Francisco, California
Par Time: 35 minutes
    Mission Objectives:
  1. Destroy the Allied Navy and Grand Cannons
  2. Defend pillboxes around Time Machine to capture it
  3. Capture 4 power plants to power time machine
  4. Take control of Soviet base and use it to destroy physic dominator
    Mission Parameters:
  • Don't destroy the time machine
The world is in ruin. Yuri is poised to rule unchallenged. Only a daring Allied plan to travel back into time stands between Yuri and total domination. But Yuri must pay for his betrayal at Soviet hands, not Allied. We must capture the time machine and travel back ourselves.

  • Walkthrough:
    At the start of the mission you see allied harriers making desperate attempts to destroy the nuclear reactor on Alcatraz. Your navy must destroy the allied navy units and the grand cannons. Firstly, group your units - this will make things much easier. Now tell your dreadnought to destroy the two grand cannons - make sure your subs are always in front of the dread with scorpions behind them. Once they are destroyed you may being to attack the enemy units - order your dreadnought to attack one of the destroyers before the naval battle begins - now move your subs to the front and take out the nearest destroyer. Make sure your sea scorpions are right behind them. Once the nearest destroyer is destroyed use your two squids to destroy any remaining destroyers. Use your subs to finish off the aircraft carriers. Objective 1 is completed: the naval units will now leave the map.

    Four amphibious transports will then pull up onto the main land containing the reinforcements listed above; a small GI patrol will walk past; move Boris forward a bit and he will take care of it. The key to wiping out the allied forces on the map is to use Boris to wipe out infantry patrols and to garrison your conscripts to take out enemy tank patrols. The first point of conflict should be by the hospital (make sure you send out all three of your dogs to scout out the map in sperate directions first). Now send your conscripts towards the hospital. Garrison the building across the road from it; the garrisoned conscripts will make short work of the 4 tanks patrolling the area. Now ungarrison the building and build the one directly to the left of it; another tank patrol will be wiped out easily.

    Now send all of your units to the hospital, use one of your engineers to capture it. Now send Boris to the west of your garrisoned buildings to wipe out some of the infantry patrols. No use your tesla troopers and tanks to wipe out the tank patrol to the left of the powerplant nearest to the buildings that you garrisoned. You are now effectively in control of half of the map.. don't bother capturing the power plants yet. Now work your way into the bottom left hand corner with Boris and your tanks (scout it out with a conscript before you send your units there if it isn't already scouted out). Once in the bottom left hand corner (on the soccer pitch covered in gems) you should begin to move eastwards. Use Boris to take out a few Guardian GI patrols out. Now you should reach one of the entrances to the allied base. There are a few Guardian GI's and GI's there - use Boris to take them out. (Note: At this point Boris became elite in my game).

    Now it's time to start making use of Boris' laser; order him to take out the pillboxes surrounding the edge of the base where your units are. Now order your tanks to destroy the barrier; move them inside and destroy the patriots (keep them out of range of the pillboxes whilst doing this): now use Boris and order the MIGs to take out all the pillboxes around the time machine. Once all of the pillboxes are destroyed there will be a para-drop - consisting of 9 engineers. Immediately order Boris and your tanks to go next to the engineers to protect them.

    Now move Boris along the edge of the base. Destroy the clumps of GIs and Guardian GIs (by this time Boris should definitely be elite). At this point several Amphibious Transports containing Yuri units will arrive; immediately move all of your forces by the hospital next to the garrisoned building; a lot of the transports will go past them and hence be destroyed. Keep using Boris and the tanks to take out enemy units. Once Yuri's little invasion has finished capture 4 of the power plants on the map - and capture the time machine as well.

    Now you will be warped back into time - into the age when dinosaurs ruled the earth; you must defend the time machine against the dinosaurs for two minutes; this should prove to be no problem at all as you will have a lot of elite conscripts from the garrisoned buildings (all your forces are warped back in time; no matter where they were on the map). after defending the time machine you will be warped back into the present - you will also have 6 new tanks at your disposal. Send your forces to the Soviet base. Once there, garrison the buildings around the tesla reactor. Send your tanks past the hospital to the point where your forces disembarked from the amphib transports. Destroy the few lasher tanks around and the gattling cannon - now bring your amphib transport around, load Boris into it and send it towards Alcatraz. At the point Yuri will launch a small attack on your base. Send your tanks back for defense. Once on Alcatraz, unload Boris and kill the small group of initiates. Now blow up the crates next to the dominator. Order Boris' MIGs to attack it. Mission Accomplished.
