General Overview
Anytown Amerika is one of best WW maps in my opinion and one of the most widely used on the WOL Tournament. Anytown Amerika or AA for short is split into several parts. The western(left) and southern(bottom) sides of the map is dominated by garrisonable buildings while the north(top) and east(right) is mainly open country. There is a river that starts near the top and runs down the right half of the map. Also, a huge hill and forest occupies the center of the map. The four starting positions are in the corners or thereabouts. There is plenty of ore and several huge gem caches to feed your army. The best positions to start in are top left, top right, and bottom right The worst position to start in is the bottom left, unless you're a turtler, because there isn't easy access to gems.

Tech Buildings:
The only Tech Building is a Hospital that is located near the bottom right starting position.

Team Selection
This map is a well balanced map for both sides. The allies can take advantage of buildings at key choke points to hold off the soviet rush and the soviets have cheap infantry to fill key buildings.

Allies:

I would suggest using America on this map because there are several buildings to garrison near enemy positions which can help cut off your opponents access to ore or your base or his base. Korea is also good because you can quickly take out any building or unit that stands in your way. France is good to help with defense or attack. Germany is good against soviets, but can be neutralized easily by infantry. Britain isn't really effect except against Iraq and America, but there effectiveness is limited so I would avoid.
Soviets:
Iraq is the best overall and the best for this map as usual, then I would recommend Russia against an allied opponent, and then Libya and Cuba against a soviet opponent.
Economy
Near each starting point there is a big ore cache and three of the four starting points have a gem cache near, the only starting point with out a gem cache is the bottom right. Once your ore runs out you'll have to move to another spot and harvest, be sure to secure any buildings near your ore so you don't have to worry about losing your miners. The two gem caches are located on the left-middle side of the map and and the very top of the map.

Walkthrough

Allies:

Start by building power plant, barracks, and refinery. After building a barracks build a few dogs and send them scouting also build a GI or two and garrison a key building or two, if you can try to garrison a building a near your opponents base to put pressure on him early. Then build a war factory and then an AFC and another refinery, sell the second refinery. After the war factory build one miner and three tanks. If you are playing an allied player you might want to build one patriot derrick system in case of a rocketeer rush, otherwise don't bother. You should have a fairly decent economy at this point, build a battle lab and another refinery nearest the ore field so it doesn't take so long to come back. Start churning out tanks and send a few mirages towards the enemy ore field and take out the enemy economy. Then take out any assets your opponent has, tech buildings or units, and after you tie up all the loose ends go for your opponents throat and destroy his army and base.

Soviets:

Start by building tesla reactor, barracks, and refinery. After building a barracks build a few dogs and send them scouting also build a handful of conscripts and garrison a key building or two, if you can try to garrison a building a near your opponents base to put pressure on him early. Then build a war factory and then another refinery, sell the second refinery. After the war factory build one miner and three tanks. If you are playing an allied player you might want to build one patriot derrick system in case of a rocketeer rush, otherwise don't bother. After you finish with your three rhino's immediately send them to take out your enemies harvesters. You should have a fairly decent economy at this point, build a radar if need be and another refinery nearest the ore field so it doesn't take so long to come back. Start churning out tanks. Then take out any assets your opponent has, tech buildings or units, and after you eliminate any units roaming around the map, send you army and destroy his army and his base.
